Chip is passionate about facilitating and enabling young people to discover and explore making music together, to write songs, form bands and have fun. This can happen in any setting from youth groups to rock schools, summer schools to special projects.

Chip is available to lead workshops in Primary, Secondary and Further Education also incorporating those with special needs and learning difficulties. These sessions are hands on, fun and educational using instruments from all around the world. Kids love it (and teachers!). Workshops fit in with the national curriculum for music and include 

  • 'Explaining a range of musical expressions, dynamics and rhythmic ideas' (key stage 1)

  • 'Developing rhythmic accuracy across a range of instruments, sounds & traditions' (key stage 2)

  • 'Identifying dynamics & improvising in a range of structures, genres & settings' ( key Stage 3)

Chip can provide the following options:

  • delivering back to back classes throughout a school day 

  • working with one group for a day culminating in a performance for parents or rest of the school (or both)

  • work with individuals or groups of pupils/students on an ongoing basis putting together bands/songwriting/exploring/playing for fun

  • adapt to fit in with any particular projects/events/ideas. Feel free to make any suggestion!
